{"id":29,"date":"2018-08-31T15:35:56","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T15:35:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vmpjc.com\/?page_id=29"},"modified":"2026-02-19T01:20:45","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T01:20:45","slug":"funding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vmpjc.net\/index.php\/funding\/","title":{"rendered":"Fundraising"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221; Donations<u> <\/u>&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1677724816563{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Funds for development of the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County (VMPJC) come entirely from donations.\u00a0 Over $900,000 has been donated in the form of cash, materials, equipment usage, services, and volunteer time.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Cash<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Construction materials:\u00a0 <\/strong>to be used in construction<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Equipment usage: <\/strong>Use of construction equipment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Volunteers:\u00a0 <\/strong>Donation of time in direct support of construction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Services:<\/strong> Donation of expertise or professional services in support of the Park development<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The following permanent items in the Park are available for donations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Engraved brick pavers:\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0Available in two sizes:\u00a0 4\u201d x 8\u201d ($100) and 8\u201d x 8\u201d ($200).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Park Benches<\/strong>:\u00a0 Available in one size: 4\u2019 wide ($3,500 donation).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Armed Forces monuments (6):\u00a0 <\/strong>Donations can be made in any amount. \u00a0With a minimum donation of $5,000, the donor name will be noted on the monument<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>POW\/MIA<\/strong><strong> monument <\/strong>is the same design as the service monuments and will be located along with the service monuments.\u00a0 Donation information is the same as the service monuments.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Park Entrance Plaque and Granite Base: <\/strong>with a minimum donation of $3,000, the donor&#8217;s name will be noted on the monument.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Donor Display:\u00a0<\/strong>with a minimum donation of $4,000, the donor&#8217;s name will be noted on the monument.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Donations in cash, materials, equipment, and in-kind services of $500 or greater qualify for one of the following levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Titanium: $20,000+<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diamond: $10,000+<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Platinum: $5,000+<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Gold: $2,000+<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Silver: $1,000+<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bronze: $500+<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Donors for each level have their names on a Donors Panel displayed at the entrance to the Park.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Checks can be made payable to:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cVeterans Memorial Park of Jackson County\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and mailed to:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County, 1616 Heroes Dr. Scottsboro, AL 35768<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221; Brick Paver<u> <\/u>&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1771463031582{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The entrance walkway to Monument Circle contains spaces for about 750 4 x 8 pavers and about 550 8 x 8 pavers. \u00a0For a donation of $100 for the 4 x 8 paver or $200 for the 8 x 8 paver, the paver can be engraved as directed by the donor.
