{"id":1657,"date":"2025-06-26T20:17:34","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T20:17:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vmpjc.com\/?page_id=1657"},"modified":"2026-01-22T01:03:57","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T01:03:57","slug":"school-visits","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vmpjc.net\/index.php\/school-visits\/","title":{"rendered":"School Visits"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sand Mountain School<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Sand Mountain Bison 6th Graders visited the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County, which kicked off the first guided tour of the fall season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sand Mountain Elementary Teacher, Ms. Sandra Ott, led the way to make sure the students could experience the park and learn about the service and sacrifice of members of the Armed Forces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The guided tour, led by VFW Members Jim Blackburn and Raymond Brandon, educated the students on the purpose of the park and made sure everyone had a copy of the <em>The Constitution of the United States<\/em> in hand as they explained how important Americanism is here at home and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The future is alive, well and growing up with hands over hearts for America.
